Along with the pulpit ministry, Christian Education classes help
new Christians, seasoned Christians and the yet-to-be-believers
grow deeper in their understanding of God, His Church, and the
truth that He's given to us in His Word, the Bible. Growth
is what the Christian life is all about. If you would like
to maximize your opportunities to grow in your faith, consider
getting involved in one of the various Christian Education
classes offered at Bay Area Presbyterian Church.
Christian Education classes are at 9:00 on Sunday
The Life of Abraham
Elder Tom Wright
Romans 4:3 tells us Abraham believed God, and it was
credited to him as righteousness.” God called Abraham and promised that he would
be the father of a great nation. Join us as we study his life of faith, his
strengths and weaknesses, and God’s covenant that, according to the Apostle
Paul, makes him “father to us all” through our faith in Christ.
The Gospel of John through the Eyes of the Old Testament
The apostle John was the one who felt and heard the
heartbeat of Jesus; in so doing he had a unique insight into how Jesus saw
himself fulfilling the Old Testament. Join us as we unpack how Jesus revealed
himself as the One to whom the Scriptures pointed.
NEW ADULT BIBLE CLASS
Christian, What Do You Believe?
Beginning June 4 and continuing through the summer several
elders will be teaching a class on the Nicene Creed. This creed is a summary of
the essentials of our faith which the Christian church has affirmed since it was
written in 325AD. Since we recite the Nicene Creed regularly in our worship
service, it is important to understand what we are saying we believe. Each class
will stand by itself so if you have to miss a Sunday due to summer activities
you won’t be behind.
